After 5 days in the NYC last week for the Blueprint Show , I finally have a chance to reflect and take in what I learned from my second year participating. It was great to be with my design partner Jennifer Sabo again, and I also brought along my 9 year old daughter to help and see what goes into one of the many shows I'm away for. It was a slightly different pace from last year with Surtex and The National Stationery Show moving to February at the Javitz Center but it was still great! I made some new contacts, saw old friends, made new ones and got a lot of positive feedback on my work. (and also ate a lot of tacos and ramen). Putting yourself out there is sometimes the biggest battle, for me it's continuing the momentum I had leading up to the show. This year instead of taking a small break I am continuing to move at the same pace in creating new work, so be on the lookout!
